Fabric Selection and Preparation:
Class Supplies:
- Cutting mat 18" x 24" suggested size
- Rotary Cutter with a new sharp blade (45mm or 60mm are fine)
- Extra fine pins - recommended
- 4 Large zip loc bags (Labelled Bag A1, A2, B1 and B2)
- Ruler - 6" x 18" or similar size recommended, plus smaller ruler of any size
- Jumbo paper clips (approx. 100, can usually be purchased from Staples/Dollar Store)
- Purple Thang
- Fabric Glue Pen - mandatory
- 12 inch Add a Quarter Ruler – mandatory
- Microtex Needles, size 80/12 (recommendended)
- Fabric Marking pencil or pen (must show on Fabric B3)
- Sewing machine, cord, bobbins, foot pedal – suggested feet are kind of Open Toe Foot and ¼ Inch Foot
- Cotton piecing thread (50 weight) – neutral to match your fabrics
- Seam ripper and scissors for trimming threads
