Absolute Beginner Quilting with Susan Shute

Have you ever wanted to learn how to quilt but was not sure where to start? Join Susan for a step by step course to get started. You will learn the basics - Quilting by Machine, Rotary Cutting, Fabric Tips and Cutting Tricks and Successfully Finish Your First Quilt.

Skill Level: beginner
Skill Details: Must have basic sewing skills and be able to operate your sewing machine.
Materials Included: Pattern and Instructions
Requirements: 1/4" foot for the machine before the second class. Notebook paper and pencil. Sewing machine in good working order that you are familiar with, power cord, foot control, a walking foot, user manual, at least 2 bobbins that fit your machine. Rotary mat, cutter, and two rulers - 6" x 24" and 6" x 12". 100% cotton thread (neutral for piecing), not cotton-wrapped poly. Basic sewing kit, pins, tape measure, seam ripper, scissors. New size 80/12 sewing machine needles, universals or microtex sharps. FABRIC REQUIREMENTS (See Handout)
